“WAOWing” The Centennial State

The Cultural Arts Council Fine Art Gallery is proud to have been selected to host the 43rd annual national exhibition of WAOW (Women Artists of the West) – an annual juried fine art competition, show and sale.

Open from now through July 28th, the exhibition includes painted work in many different media including oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, colored pencil and graphite as well as sculpture in bronze and cast glass.

WAOW is a group of 250 artist/members committed to advancing individual skills as well as inspiring and mentoring one another.  Membership is by jury invitation and selections are made once each autumn. This show is the result of two rounds of jury selection and represents the work of 53 juried signature and associate members and invited master signature members.   The show expresses the individuality of the artists as well as the achievements of the whole.

The Cultural Arts Council gallery is located at 423 W Elkhorn Ave. Gallery hours are noon to 5 PM daily. The Cultural Arts Council is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit arts agency supporting and promoting cultural arts programs in the Estes Valley and throughout Colorado for over 23 years.
