Fun for Father’s Day in Estes Park

A beautiful early summer is upon us with wonderfully warmer days perfect for outdoor activities and deliciously refreshing cooler nights.

The whole family can play outside at the Estes Park Marathon, Fun Run and festivities on June 15th and 16th where there is fun for everyone small and large, novice and expert.

The Kids Fun Run with categories to suit kids from four to 12 years old takes place at Bond Park on Saturday, June 15th beginning with registration from 11am to 2pm when the race starts.  Festival activities from 11am to 3:30 pm feature games, live music and interactive educational activities.  Details for the fun run can be found here.

The 5K race provides a brief scenic tour of local Estes Park with spectacular views.  Inclines and descents are shorter and suitable for runners, recreational athletes and walkers. The 10K race combines gentle undulations with scenic views of the Continental Divide and the cooler air and tranquility of Lake Estes. Athletes of all abilities and paces are welcome to race it or take it easy.

The half marathon course features steady climbs, easy descents, and rolling roads. This USATF certified course is both spectacular and challenging. The full marathon is described as “an athletic journey you will never forget!…The beauty will inspire you to overcome physical and psychological challenges and celebrate all that is good about being active and alive.”
