Enos Mills was known for many accomplishments, but one of his biggest contributions was his observation of wildlife in the Rocky Mountain region. We’ll explore the Park looking at the changes the Park has faced since Enos’s time including: the extirpation of wolves and grizzly bears, the reintroduction of elk and their impact over the past 100 years, bighorn sheep population declines, and one of his favorites, the beaver population. Then we’ll share the stories of mountain bluebirds, pikas, and other animals that graced the pages of his works.
