Chamber Music for an Autumn Afternoon

On Saturday, September 14, beginning at 1:30pm with an introductory talk by Derald DeYoung, The Estes Park Chamber Music Society is pleased to bring the world-famous Takacs Quartet for an afternoon of beautiful and compelling music in the intimate setting of the Community Church of the Rockies (1700 Brodie Ave).


The¬†concert begins at 2:30pm and features three quartets: Mozart Eb major K, 428; Janacek Quartet No 2 “Intimate Letters”; and Smetana Quartet No 1 “From My Life.”


Tickets are $30 (cash only) at the door or in advance at Macdonald Book Shop 152 E Elkhorn Ave.


Formed in 1975, the group is composed of performers from the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungry, and has been in residence at the University of Colorado in Boulder since 1982.
