Welcome to the 23rd year of the Estes Park Wool Market! This past year’s Wool Market was a huge success and we thank those who came to the event and showed their support. We are in the process of getting everything ready for the 2013 event. Please check our website for routine updates and information. Thank you for your patience.
At this time, all those interested in becoming a commercial vendor and/or a Wool Market instructor, should have completed and submitted the required applications. The official deadline for applications was December 3, 2012, and all applicants will be notified within a timely manner.

Workshops are scheduled for Thursday, June 6, and Friday, June 7, 2012. The event is free and open to the public starting Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Parking is available on site for $5. Throughout the weekend participants will be able to visit exhibits, see demonstrations, be involved in competitions and take a stroll through our vendor area.
Life’s pageant includes a host of creatures that are magnificent not for their great size or their exquisite color but simply for the manner in which they live. We know and accept that animals eat plants and fungi, but how remarkable are the plants and fungi that prey on animals!? “13 Creatures” is all about looking for and enjoying those things that live life, as Thoreau would say, according to their own drummers.

The Fiber Arts Council of Estes (FACE) presents the 1st Annual “FACE of fiber in the Rockies 2013″ held at the Historic Elkhorn Lodge. An extraordinary exhibit of all fiber media includes weaving, quilting, knitting, spinning and many other wonderful facets of fiber art. The participants are residents of the Greater Estes Valley. You won’t want to miss this show! This event coincides with the Estes Park Wool Market.
Human knowledge of hummingbirds is ever increasing through new genetic analysis techniques, better technology, and improved statistical analysis methods. Marking individual birds remains an essential tool for learning how long they live, how far they fly, where they go, whether they return, when they return, and how many are out there. This seminar will include both a demonstration of hummingbird banding and a walk afield to learn how hummingbirds use natural landscapes.

Rocky Mountain National Park contains breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife viewing, and opportunities to connect with the past as you travel across Trail Ridge Road, the scenic and awe-inspiring byway across the Continental Divide. Participants will receive a unique overview of the Park’s history, flora, fauna, and geology while viewing passed landscapes from the comfort of a 14-passenger van. Opportunity for taking pictures will be provided at the many pull-off stops along the way such as the Alluvial Fan, Rainbow Curve, Alpine Visitor Center, Milner Pass (Continental Divide), Holzwarth Historic Site, and the historic town of Grand Lake. Both lunch and admission into Rocky Mountain National Park are included in the registration fee.

Join key members of Rocky Mountain National Park’s vegetation management program for a full-day native plant seminar. Focus will be on important characteristics of several native plant species specific to this geographical region and their habitats. An RMNP greenhouse and nursery tour will be included, showcasing propagation and transplanting techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to transplant several native plants to be used in upcoming restoration projects. The day will conclude with a tour of recently completed restoration sites throughout the Park.
The premier attraction of Rocky Mountain National Park is the scenic and breathtaking byway named Trail Ridge Road. As the nation’s highest continuous paved highway, this road meanders through various life zones on its way through the Park and over one of the largest, most pristine stretches of alpine tundra in the lower 48 states. Participants will receive a unique overview of the Park’s history, flora, fauna, and geology while viewing passed landscapes from the comfort of a 14-passenger van, with opportunity for taking pictures at the many pull-off stops along the way. Some of the more notable features guests will visit are the Alluvial Fan, Rainbow Curve, Milner Pass (Continental Divide), and the Alpine Visitor Center. Both lunch and admission into Rocky Mountain National Park are included in the registration fee.
