This course will explore some of the recent vegetation restoration effort of the Park. We will discuss various techniques that have been used in the Park and what has resulted in the most successful restoration of plant communities. The morning classroom session will be devoted to a discussion of revegetation and restoration, and how the Park has approached these tasks. If there is interest, we may also take a quick tour of the native plant nursery and the new seed storage unit. Plan to get dirty in the afternoon as we dig in the soil, plant native plants, and water them into their new home.
