Estes Park Sister Cities proudly presents “Birds Without Borders” – a soon to be released PBS Special by Nick Mollé Productions, the researchers at Rocky Mountain National Park, and The Estes Institute. Born of the Sister City relationship between Estes Park, Colorado and Monteverde, Costa Rica, and filmed in both RMNP and Costa Rica, the film traces migratory habits the Wilson’s Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Western Tanager, and Swainson’s Thrush who nest in Colorado and live in the tropics including the forests of Costa Rica. The film highlights the efforts of shared conservation and the newly arranged agreements between the national parks of the United States and the national parks and preserved areas of Costa Rica.
